Nepal Coronavirus Updates: Corona infection has been confirmed in 189 people in Nepal on Saturday. In the last 24 hours, an additional 189 people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19). According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the total number of infected people has reached 1401.
At a regular press conference organized by the Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday, the spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr. Vikas Devkota said that corona infection has been confirmed in 189 more people in the last 24 hours.
He also said that the number of infected people in Nepal has reached 1,401.
According to him, 109 cases have been reported in Kapilvastu, 17 in Sarlahi, 14 in Dailekh, 11 in Siraha, nine in Saptari, seven in Dhanusha, six in Rautahat, five in Dang, four in Mahottari, two in Parsa, two in Sankhuwasabha, one each in Jhapa, Lalitpur and Bara.
Of the total infected, 219 have recovered and returned home so far.
At present, there are one lakh 10 thousand 88 people in quarantine across the country. He informed that there are 1,176 people in ‘Isolation’.
According to the ministry, 107,055 samples have been tested using RDT method in Nepal till Saturday. So far, 66,729 tests have been done using the PCR method.
So far, seven people have died of coronavirus infection in Nepal, including one from Sindhupalchowk, one from Banke, one from Gulmi, one from Bara, one from Lalitpur , one from Arghakhanchi and one from Dailekh.
