Nepal Coronavirus Updates: Nepal’s Covid-19 tally continued to rise on Thursday after over 1,228 fresh cases were registered in a single day. While the overall figure stood at 42,877 the death toll also increased from 251 to 257 according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population MOPH.
A total of 1,228 people, including 394 women and 834 men, have been infected across the country on Thursday. At the same time, the total number of infected people in the country has reached 42,877.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 13,413 samples were collected and tested by PCR during this period. According to the ministry, 445 people have been confirmed infected in the Kathmandu Valley alone, of which 257 are in Kathmandu district, 46 in Lalitpur, and 42 in Bhaktapur.
Similarly, 109 people from Sarlahi, 71 from Bara, 65 from Parsa, 64 from Dhanusha, 56 from Chitwan, 52 from Rupandehi, 46 from Morang, 31 from Kaski, 29 from Rautahat, 27 from Sunsari, 22 from Makwanpur, 20 from Mahottari, 15 from Kailali, 12 from Jhapa, 11 from Kapilvastu and 10-10 from Gulmi and Bajhang.
Similarly infection has been confirmed 9-9 from Lamjung and Nawalparasi, 8 from Banke, 7-7 from Okhaldhunga, Kavre and Surkhet, 6-6 from Sankhuwasabha, Nawalpur, Dailekh and Achham, 5-5 from Dolakha, Gorkha and Bardiya, 4 from Nuwakot, Dang, and Doti, 2-2 Darchula and Baitadi 1-1 from Saptari, Ramechhap, Baglung, and Jajarkot, 3-3 from Dhankuta, Dhading, Sindhupalchowk, Tanahu, and Kanchanpur, 2-2 from Udaipur, Terhathum, Palpa, Pyuthan, Kalikot, Salyan.

In the last 24 hours, six more people have died from corona virus (Covid-19) infection in Nepal
According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwar Gautam, six more people died in 24 hours in Corona. Four women and two men died due to corona on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as a 40-year-old woman from Chitwan, a 40-year-old woman from Bhaktapur, a 92-year-old from Tanahun and a 77-year-old woman from Rupandehi, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Similarly, a 77-year-old man from Sindhupalchowk and a 65-year-old man from Rupandehi died. Jageshwar Gautam said. At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona in Nepal has reached 257. According to the ministry, the death toll from the Corona is 0.6 percent.
So far, the number of those discharged has reached 24,207. Jageshwar Gautam said. The infection-free rate is 56 percent.
At present, there are 18,413 active infected people. Of them, 10,671 are in institutional isolation and 6,749 are in home isolation.
