Corona Cases in Nepal

Kathmandu In the last 24 hours, 1207 people have been infected with coronavirus across the country. This information was given by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Jageshwar Gautam at a regular press briefing on Saturday. At the same time, the total number of corona cases in Nepal has reached 71,821 across the country.

According to Jageshwor Gautam, the number of actively coronavirus infected people in the country today is 18 thousand 341 people. Of these, 7,833 are in institutional isolation and 10,508 in home isolation.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 10,019 samples were tested using PCR during this period.

In the last 24 hours, 1147 people from all over the country have recovered and been discharged. So far, 53,013 people have been infected, according to the ministry. The recovery rate of the infected has reached 73.8 percent.

Corona death updates Nepal: Another 8 people have died in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus in Nepal. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwar Gautam informed that all the the death toll has reached 467

According to the ministry, the deceased have been identified as men aged 20 and 74 from Kathmandu and men aged 76 and 88 from Lalitpur and Bhaktapur respectively. Similarly, 66 men from Saptari, 74 from Makwanpur, 72 from Rupandehi and 30 from Kailali have also died.

At the same time, the number of deaths from corona has reached 467 across the country, according to the ministry. Of those infected, 0.65 percent have died so far.

According to ministry spokesperson Gautam, more than 500 people are currently infected in Morang, Siraha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, and Rupandehi, while the number of corona cases in Manang, Rasuwa, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, and Humla has dropped to zero.
